Beginning

So, I'm not exactly one to start a blog, but I've been thinking about it, and since I'm going to be going to a different school and won't be able to just hang out with all of my friends, I figured I'd start a blog. It may even be interesting to other people, who knows.

Since I feel like I need a theme for my blog, it's going to be, as the title suggests, about my experiences and struggles with getting into medical school. I'll probably also use this as a tool for venting my excitement for what I'm learning in my classes and feel like somebody cares about what I have to say.

For those of you who don't know, a little background on me. I just graduated from Arizona State University with  a B.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering. I also graduated from Barrett, The Honors College at ASU after writing a thesis entitled, "Adaptive Diaphragmatic Pacing for Respiratory Rehabilitation Therapy." (Sounds interesting, doesn't it?) After a failed attempt, costing hundreds if not over a thousand dollars, to get into medical school right out of undergrad, I have been accepted to a 9-month Master of Science in Physiology program at Loyola University Chicago. This is a program that is designed for students that want to make their resumes look better when trying to get into medical school, so I'm excited about it.

Anyway, this is the program that I'm going to be writing about here, as well as my failed attempt to get into a medical school this year, and my new attempt in the next coming year or two. Enjoy reading it!
